nanny-calaCala Riggs' Library

Cala has been a child-care professional for 10 years and is a graduate of FIDM, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She is currently attending Argosy University, working on a B.A. Degree in Psychology, and works full-time as a nanny for an Elizabeth Rose client. Cala was a partner in a non-profit organization "Help for Orphans". They designed children's clothing, with all profits going to charity.

Cala: "When I saw the faces of all the children in need, I decided I didn't want to just dress someone; I wanted to 'Leave a Fashionable Footprint on the Lives of Children.'" She created a blog called "NannyInHeels," where she writes about the creative and rewarding life of a professional nanny, together with top design and fashion trends.

Cala: "When not working, studying, or blogging, I'm sipping skinny vanilla lattes, dancing in grocery store aisles, or singing to loud music. I love to laugh, and I live everyday by four simple words: 'Live in the Moment.' I'm not that unusual; aren't there a lot of people who love crayons and couture?"
